Privacy Policy

This notice explains what Vinayaka Mission Admission Desk collects when you send an enquiry, what is done with it, how long it is kept and how to have it removed. It is written to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who is responsible

Vinayaka Mission Admission Desk is an independent admissions advisory operated by Fazim, Senior Higher Education Consultant & University Liaison. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, this advisory is the Data Fiduciary for the information you submit here. Contact details are at the end of this page.

The universities named on this site are separate organisations and control their own admission records independently. Once your application is filed with a university, that institution's own privacy policy governs what it does with it.

What is collected, and why

Only what you type into the enquiry form, plus one technical field. Nothing is bought from a third party, and no data broker or lead list is used.

DataPurpose
NameTo address you correctly in replies and on your application file
Email addressTo send the acknowledgement and the written eligibility position
Phone numberTo reach you on WhatsApp or by call about your enquiry
Programme of interestTo route the enquiry and tailor the information sent back
City / StateTo advise on travel, accommodation and state-specific document requirements
Academic status you describeTo assess which admission or credit-transfer routes are open to you
Page you enquired fromTo know which service you were reading about
Partial IP addressAbuse prevention and rate limiting. The final octet is removed before storage, so the address cannot identify a single connection

Submitting the form is the consent to use these details to answer your enquiry. That is the only basis on which they are processed — there is no separate marketing list, and you will not be added to one.

Who it is shared with

  • The university you are applying to — but only once you have decided to proceed, and only what the admission file requires.
  • The email provider that carries the acknowledgement to you and the notification to this advisory.
  • Google Analytics, for visitor statistics only — see the cookies section below. Enquiry form contents are never sent to it.

Your details are never sold, rented or passed to other colleges, agents or coaching centres. If you enquire about one institution, no other institution is given your contact details.

How long it is kept

  • Enquiries — 24 months, then deleted automatically. Admission cycles run long and students often return a year later; beyond that there is no reason to hold it.
  • Web server logs — 14 days, then rotated away.
  • You can ask for your record to be deleted sooner, at any time, and it will be.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies beginning _ga that distinguish one browser from another. IP addresses are truncated before storage.

This is used only in aggregate — to know that a page was read, not who read it. Nothing you type into the enquiry form is sent to Google, and no advertising or remarketing profile is built.

To opt out, use your browser's cookie controls, private browsing, or Google's opt-out add-on. No part of this site stops working if you do.

If you are under 18

Many people applying for a first-year seat are 17. Under the DPDP Act, the personal data of anyone under 18 may only be processed with the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian.

If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian send the enquiry, or ask them to confirm it with us before we go further. Admission discussions involve a guardian in any case. Where it becomes clear that an enquiry came from a minor without that consent, it will be held only as long as needed to contact the guardian, and deleted if consent is not given.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may, at no cost:

  • Ask what personal data is held about you, and get a copy of it
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete details corrected
  • Have your data erased, unless it must be kept for a live admission
  • Withdraw consent at any time — processing stops from that point
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to
  • Raise a grievance, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved

Write to the address below with the reference number from your acknowledgement email, or the email address you enquired from. Requests are answered within 30 days.

How it is kept safe

  • The whole site is served over HTTPS; the form will not submit over an unencrypted connection.
  • Enquiries are stored on a private server directory readable only by the application itself, not on any third-party CRM.
  • The management console requires a password and a second factor, and every action taken on a record is logged.
  • Rate limiting prevents the form being used to send repeated mail to anyone.

In the event of a breach affecting your data, you and the Data Protection Board of India will be notified as the Act requires.
